In conjunction with C. Raymond Hunt Design and our manufacturing production team, HBI is developing a variety of new models, one of which is the 28 foot open transom boat.

The 28 Open Transom is designed for the yachtsman with a need for a large open cockpit for carrying either equipment, personnel or supplies. The flush deck allows ease of loading and unloading, a magnificent platform for swimming and diving, ample space to entertain and move about the vessel. When operating as a tender to a larger sailing yacht, the open transom facilitates loading and transport of long items such as rolled sails and battens.

The base model includes an elegant T-Top and large console with private head. The aft bench seat is removable to make a wide open expanse of cockpit. Decks are genuine teak with non-skid Awlgrip available as a no cost option. All hardware is of stainless steel.

The standard configuration employs either a gasoline or a diesel power plant mated with a Volvo Duo-prop outdrive underneath the extended cockpit sole to provide ease of handling, quiet operation, excellent fuel economy and the best of performance. A bow thruster is optional.
