Working with very specific client requirements, our naval architecture team at C. Raymond Hunt Associates, in conjunction with HBI, designed and built a very high-performance luxury express tender for a beautiful large yacht.
The yacht is of a size that anchoring out is frequently required so a high-performance, luxury tender was needed. The customer came to HBI because they needed the integrity of a true thoroughbred hull form with the ability to build an entirely custom deck and cabin arrangement. HBI met their needs and recently delivered the boat to the Caribbean.
This HBI has all the features and amenities you would expect, and some you might not - large capacity diesel generator to supply extensive air conditioning and power the 10 high power underwater lights, 8" bow thruster to move the bow in Trade Winds conditions, large capacity "under-tube" windlass and stainless steel chain for deep water anchoring, off-shore towing system, outdoor "mist cooling" system, marble countertops and tile sole in the luxurious head, state-of-the-art stereo system, extensive electronics and communications systems for world-wide navigation capability, joystick steering with redundant backup systems, custom-laminated safety glass used throughout and extensive use of epoxy laminations and carbon fibre.
